Zach was professional and created a plan to solve the dilemma of retrofitting the new HVAC exhaust pipes into our 1920's home.
Zach came to do a central air tune up for summer. He was kind and thorough. He also took the time to explain what he did and explained my system to me including the terms I should use if I ever had to call with a problem. He went through everything with me and showed me more about my system than I knew before. I feel that the price was fair. The office staff was also friendly and flexible with scheduling and communication. I would absolutely call them again.

Replaced both of the air filters (JB provided AprilAire 413 filters). Brushed out both A/C condensate drains. Checked both condenser capacitors. Checked the resistance on both contractors. Checked the amp draw on both condensers. Visually inspected both condenser coils. Checked the charge on both condensers.
Very old dual-fuel system. Found the reversing valve stuck in the heat position; unfortunately, there is no way to repair that problem due to the age of the system. Recommend changing out the system for a Gas Furnace with A/C.

Serviced the A/C. The air filter was dirty; the client is going to get a new one. Brushed out the condensate drain. Visually inspected the evaporator and condenser coils. Checked the condenser capacitor. Checked the amp draw. Checked the charge.
The high-pressure switch was tripped again. Reset the high-pressure switch. The client stated he had to turn the condenser fan motor with a stick, and he also put in a new capacitor. Lubed the fan motor bearings and shaft. Checked the fan amp draw. Checked the charge.
Found the condenser fan motor making a noise. Found a loose connection on the common wire. Fixed the stay con. Tightened the screws on the fan shroud to stop the vibration. Found a dirty air filter; the client is going to supply and replace it. Cut open the condensate drain and unclogged it. Checked the capacitor. Checked the amp draw. Checked the charge.
Found that the grooming room mini split drain had clogged. Shop vacuumed the drain to remove the clog. Dumped the water in the drain pan to make sure everything drained properly. Cleaned the air filters. Disassembled the head unit and dried off the excessive moisture on the cover and louvers. There will be some minor dripping until the head unit fully dries off.
Found that the indoor blower motor had seized. The blower wheel is not in good shape either. Ordered new blower motor and wheel from a supply house.
Put the evaporator coil door back on. Removed the air filter and recommended using a lower MERV filter. Recommended changing out the furnace and A/C; Client declined a change out. Charged 1lb 8 oz of R22 refrigerant per Client request.
Found that the low-pressure switch and high-pressure switch wiring had come loose from their connectors. Put new stay-cons on all of the pressure switch connections; the system turned back on. Checked the amp draw. Checked the temp split. Prior to our visit, the Client had changed all of the air filters and washed the condenser coil.
Left the disconnect off. The disconnect should remain off until we return.
Replaced the unit's A-Coil.
Found that the furnace breaker had tripped. Ensured nothing was grounded and turned the breaker back on. Checked the air filter. Fixed a leaking Schrader valve on the condenser. Checked the charge; the charge was good.
The client had reported that the system had iced up. Checked the air filter and made sure the blower was working. Checked the charge; the unit was low on refrigerant. Tried to find the leak but was unsuccessful. Charged 4lbs 7oz of R410A. Scheduled a return visit to find the leak.
Found that the ECM motor was not turning on. Verified that the board was sending power. This unit was still under warranty; I ordered a new motor.
Wrapped 4 run-outs with insulation to prevent dripping.
A/C serviced.
The system had #71 error code. Reset breakers for the system and cleared the error code. Checked charge, amp draw, temp split, and visually inspected condenser coil. A previous technician from another company had installed the wrong contactor and changed the factory wiring to make it work. Replaced the 2-pole contactor with a correct 1-pole contactor. Made sure the system turned on and all previously checked measurements were the same.
The capacitor on the outdoor unit was bad. Replaced the capacitor with a Turbo 200, and the system is operating normally.
Found the remote on the dual zone mini split not working. Ordered a new remote for the client.
